Jo Johnson

Jo founded Jellymould Creative with Emile Facey in 2001, after six years experience of working within the not-for-profit sector.

Her role encompasses:

  • selecting and managing freelance creatives and technical people
  • website content strategy
  • editorial advice
  • user experience design for websites, software, books and other printed materials.

Jo is always very busy at the start of a project, exploring the aims in detail with her clients and the resources that are available to invest in it, from internal expertise and knowledge and existing systems, copy and images, through to money and time.

Having gained a good understanding of what it is her client wants to achieve, Jo will get to know the target audience for the project, and will carry out research, surveys, interviews and workshops to get as much detail and input as possible.

Building on this broadened understanding, she can help you choose the best communications opportunities for the project. This could include:

  • video production
  • website development
  • software development
  • books, reports and guides
  • posters, flyers and brochures
  • advertising and editorial

During a website or software development project, Jo is responsible for:

  • workshops to agree business goals and project scope
  • user research and testing
  • content strategy and specification
  • web and software blueprints and wireframes.
